Prints

My prints are beautifully luxurious, I personally make each one to a standard that does justice to the image. Prints can be made on fine art cotton rag papers - the surface and tactile feel is wonderful - or canvas. My printing process, pigment inks on archival media, is as good as it gets today. Some people call this giclee printing.

on Fine Art Paper

Prints are made on 100% cotton-rag art papers from Hahnemühle or Canson. 

They are finished in a plain white mat, sealed in a clear pack, ready to put in a standard 16x20 (40x50 cm) frame, $250.

For larger sizes, up to 1m wide by several metres long, please ask me.

on Canvas

Textured cotton canvas is printed with pigment inks and then stretched over a wooden frame (‘gallery wrapped’). 

The finished print is laminated to provide a fade-free, moisture resistant canvas.  The result is ready to hang, made to the highest archival standards.

As a rough guide current prices are approximately $270 for small prints (around 26x40 cm), $375 for mid sized (around 40x60 cm) or $575 for larger prints (100x32, 50x80 cm). Even larger prints available, most sizes possible.

Because these are not mass-produced most people talk to me directly then I print to suit. Just contact me with details of the photograph you are interested in and I will give you a firm price and delivery time.

Shipping

I have shipped prints all over the world without any trouble. Small prints ordered via Paypal will have a small shipping charged added, for larger prints I'll include the exact cost in your quote.

Art House Gallery

In early 2011 we finished building a new house/studio with gallery space in Methven. We have an ever-changing display of my prints as well as Cheryl's art - painting, sculpture, jewellery and more.

Every Sunday we have an open gallery from 10 - 4, come and see what we are up to. We welcome visits at other times, but call first to make sure we are free.

2012 Calendar out now!

Each year I print a small run of calendars featuring my photography of the beautiful Mid Canterbury area I live and work in.

It is A4 sized, printed on good quality paper with plenty of space on each day for notes to organise your year. Last year this sold out before Christmas, grab some now. If you are local pop in to our home gallery, they will also be at a few outlets around Methven.

Perspectives ~ the book

Perspectives Mid Canterbury is a 64 page hardcover A5 sized book of landscape photographs around the Mid Canterbury region of the South Island, with a recommended retail price of $29.

Mid Canterbury has diverse scenery. Half the county is in the foothills and beyond; untouched high country lakes and mountains. Within the landscape there is much detail, from an old barbwire-encrusted strainer post to patterns in the land only visible from the air. Crop farming is a big part of Mid Canterbury and the abstract patterns produce mesmerising images. This book is a perfect size to mail. Locals buy it to show others where we live; people passing through buy it as a reminder of their visit. Some people just buy it for the collection of landscape photographs!
